After a downturn in the markets in the mid 1980’s, James began a career as a graphic artist. First learning his craft through a college program designed for computer professionals, then progressing to work on ad campaigns for various college departments. While in college, James was a member of the Texas State All Academic Team and runner-up to the All American Academic Team, and is an International Honor Society member of Phi Theta Kappa. After graduating, James entered an internship program with a Dallas printer, where he learned the skills needed to do color and catalog production. James worked on projects that brought the company the prestigious “Benny” award for the best printed material in the United States. James brings this experience to Shreves. James is married to Renee and has two cocker spaniels that are part of the family. James spends his leisure time hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
